Temporarily Unavailable Please check the web map on www.dartmoor.gov.uk ** Permitted Camping: it is acceptable to backpack camp for one or two nights in some areas of open moorland, well away from roads or settlements using a ‘no impact’ approach. This is the only type of camping permitted on the open moorland, however it is not permitted on all open moorland in the National Park. Schedule 2 of the byelaws lists the areas that camping is not permitted.
