The West Sussex Character Assessment was carried out in 2003, resulting in the identification of 42 unique areas and the production of land management guidelines for each character area. These guidelines can be used for landscape protection and conservation, community use and neighbourhood plans, background to local planning policy, and guidance for planners dealing with planning applications.
This polygon dataset includes Natural Areas derived from Countryside Agency data but refined to fit county types/areas, landscape character types, and landscape character areas.
For use on 1:50,000 mapping.
