This dataset as reported to the Rural Payments Agency contains cattle born or imported into Great Britain, the total number of cattle for all breeds (dairy and non dairy) is 8,763,873 (excluding Welsh Blacks and Welsh Black X), Please be aware those in the 'age not known' category were born before 1 July 1996 and registered without a birth date.
