Spring 2022 Dogger Bank South East And West, Fishing Gear Scouting Survey

To ensure that an effective liaison strategy and that all fishing operators within the Dogger Bank South (DBS) turbine array sites (DBS West and DBS East) and export cable routes (ECR’s) are accounted for, RWE Renewables initiated a dedicated fishing activity assessment in line with the available ICES data for Rectangle ICES 35F1 (2019). The aim of the survey was to gain an understanding of the use of the proposed development areas by static fishers in order to promote an effective characterisation of fishing activity across the areas of interest. The findings of these field studies are presented in this report.
