The Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA) identifies sites in the Borough which may be suitable for housing development. The assessment considers the location, potential constraints, deliverability and potential number of houses that could be built for each submitted site.
The SHLAA provides an evidence base of potential sites to inform new planning policy documents. It does not make policy decisions on future housing allocations.
The inclusion of sites in the SHLAA does not mean they are likely to be developed, or that the Council would view applications on these sites favourably.
