NI Councils Public Rights of Way (Pre-defined Download)

This dataset provides details of Asserted Public Rights of Way (PRoW) within Northern Ireland. Specifically, information is provided on the geographical extent, name, legal status and assertion date of the PRoW . Data also includes basic geometrical attributes such as length, as well as internal reference numbers generated by the individual councils. The content of this dataset has been collated by Northern Ireland Environment Agency with Newry and Mourne District Council. Any reproduction for commercial or legal uses of any information contained herein may be subject to copyright, and requests for such use should be directed to the individual councils for consideration. Any data downloaded from this datasets is freely available for public use, with acknowledgement of the SPATIALNI website as the source. Information contained within this dataset is provided in good faith and in no event shall Newry and Mourne District Council or Northern Ireland Environment Agency be liable for any damages, including those resulting from lost or incorrect data, profits or revenue, the cost of recovering such data, the costs of substitute data, claims by third parties or for other similar costs arising out of the use of the data. Public Rights of Way in Northern Ireland are legislated for under the Access to the Countryside (NI) Order 1983, and are enforced by Local Councils.
