This State of the Nation report presents key findings from NEIAA Year 8 data, covering diagnoses recorded between 1 April 2025 and 31 March 2026. It highlights areas of progress, identifies opportunities for improvement, and sets out five national recommendations.
Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), Welsh Health Boards and the Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT) national improvement programme, working in collaboration with the British Society for Rheumatology, are encouraged to use these recommendations to drive operational and clinical improvement and to learn from examples of best practice.
