Forest Service Bog Habitats in Forests (Metadata)

The dataset is areas of 'Bog' that is defined as non-forested, open ground area of open ground in which the dominant vegetation is either heather and associated bog species, swamp and fen plant communities, or Molinia grassland. Bog is a Secondary Land Use Code (SLUC) designated in the Forest Service sub-compartment database. SLUC are attributes applied to sub compartments, for forest management purposes, and for reporting in relation to Primary Land Use Objectives.
