Conservation Area - Craven District Council

Designated Conservation Areas within Craven District Council. In some cases the Conservation Areas extend into the National Park for settlements on the border.

The designation of a conservation area is intended to help protect these areas from indiscriminate or ill-considered change. Any development within the Conservation Area must be in keeping with the special character of the area, and there are tighter planning controls within conservation areas to ensure this happens.
