This dataset contains economic and movement information for York's city centre. Data within this dataset will be updated periodically, depending on the availability of information.
The raw data for a number of these datasets is available within the Footfall, Business and Economy and Transport sections of York Open Data.
You can also visit the York Economic Data Hub that the York BID has launched, which brings together York’s economic data sources for the City Centre BID area.
Please note the following:
There are some suspensions of data for footfall cameras during Summer/Autumn 2025, and that data for Parliament Street since end of November 2025 is being provided but is not comparable to previous years.
A revised version of the March 2025-26 pack has been published due to the Micklegate footfall camera being offline since 16th March as a result of a power supply issue.
