British Geological Survey (BGS) Sampling Survey 1973/10: Irish Sea, Bristol Channel and English Channel (27/Jul/1973 to 15/Dec/1973)

This sampling survey has been carried out by, Institute of Geological Sciences (IGS) now British Geological Survey (BGS) for BGS, the survey took place from July to December 1973 in the Irish Sea, Bristol Channel and English Channel on board the MV Whitethorn. These purpose was to collect data as part of a regional mapping programme. Sea floor data were collected using Wireline drilling equipment (Borehole), Rock Gravity Corer, Sediment Gravity Corer, Vibrocorer and Shipek Grab. These data are archived by BGS.
