British Geological Survey (BGS) Geophysical Survey 1985/8: Dogger, North Sea (08/Aug/1985 to 10/Aug/1985)

This British Geological Survey (BGS) marine geophysical survey took place in August 1985 in the North Sea, Dogger area on board the MV Gorsethorn. The purpose was to collect data as part of the UK continental shelf survey programme. The main objective was to conduct a detailed channel study on the Dogger sheet. Sea floor data were collected using echosounder and transit sonar. Sub-bottom seismic profiling data were collected using airgun; pinger; deep-tow boomer and sparker.
