1999 - 1999 Centre for Environment, Fisheries & Aquaculture Science (Cefas) Survey : CORY 8/99 (part of English Channel Beam Trawl Survey (VIId and IVc), Qtr 3 (FSS: BTS7D))

This survey was undertaken by Cefas as part of the English Channel Beam Trawl Survey (VIId and IVc), Qtr 3 (FSS: BTS7D);

Station, catch, length (all species) and biological data (selected species) for each of the annual surveys covering the Southern North Sea and Eastern English Channel using research vessels and 4m beam trawl in support of EU data regulations and as part of an ICES funded research program. Additional aims include collection of benthic, litter, water temperature and salinity and acoustic data.

Survey took place between 24/07/1999 and 05/08/1999 on Corystes

  • Benthic Sampling Gear Grabs 0.2 sq. m Day Grab
  • Vertical Profiler CTD Type 8770

Survey operations were undertaken on 190 stations

220 different species were caught on this survey
