This survey was conducted in July 1999 in the North Sea with the aim of
determining the distribution and abundance of edible crab larvae in relation
to fishing grounds and seabed sediments. Data was collected from a total of
141 plankton stations on the main sampling grid between latitudes 52° 30'N to
55° 15'N. The finer scale plankton grid consisted of 58 stations between
Flamborough and the north Norfolk coast. This data consists of the numbers of
crab larvae (and mackerel eggs), along with associated positional data and
volumes filtered.
