Plankton analysis data from a survey carried out in the Irish Sea between 19th
April to 11th May 1994. Aims of the surveys included,
- To survey plankton populations and hydrographic structure from the Malin
Shelf to the North Channel for evidence of transport of copepods into the
Irish Sea.
- To sample fish eggs and larvae.
This data consists of the numbers of ichthyoplankton and zooplankton collected
by high speed towed net (HSTN), both coarse and fine mesh, and by Longhurst
Hardy Plankton Recorder (LHPR), plus associated positional data and volumes
filtered.
