GLA Economics produces long-term employment projections for London by sector and by borough. The methodology in the accompanying report explains the approach adopted.
The London and sector projections are based on historical trends only so policy changes are not considered. Borough-level (and bespoke areas) projections do take into account an element of existing identified employment capacity but the core trend-based approach does not consider future policy interventions.
